Since February, I've been updating my workouts on Baker Babes - a blog with my sister-in-laws.

Ok, so between yesterday and today, I can barely bend over! Ha ha ha, but so not funny. I'm scared to see what I feel like tomorrow. Nice to know I'm really workin' it, but come on now. My hamstrings are hurtin' units!
Sunday 8:30am Gym workout:
Bodyworks (no abs): 50 minutes
Stretch: 10 minutes
I don't know why, but I never knew this class existed at this time. Maybe it's new. It works out so good for us because we get home and have 45 minutes to snack and change before church at 10:30am. The kids were so stoked they got to go to the gym AND church (they love both!) in the same day =)

Seriously Saturday is the best... sleep in (we're training the kids to stay in their beds until 7am), special breakfast, gym, picnic lunch outside. And all in fabulous SD weather! I wish every day was Saturday - not really, but I do love them most =)
9:45 am Gym workout
Bodyworks: 40 min (left when they started sit-ups)
Treadmill: 20 min walk (16 min. at 2.0 incline and 4.0 speed & 4 min. cool down)
wish I would've had my iPod for the walk so I could've avoided the horrible conversation of the 3 ladies next to me
Stretch: 10 minutes
3 Days Rest: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
I was so incredibly sore and tired (worked W, Th and went to CE F) that all i could do was stretch/yoga poses at night. It's just not the same when you're pregnant - sometimes you absolutely can not give any more, nor should you =)

Oh my goodness. I am SORE from my workout on Sunday - especially my BUNS and UpperBody! Yeah for me, BUT today I went to class and we did MORE push-ups. Yikes. So funny, the teacher finally noticed I was pregnant and made several comments throughout the class. "Looks like someone put on a few pounds over there...." and some other comments about the belly in general. Funny how a bulging belly only looks good to people who don't have one! haha.
8:30am Gym workout:
"Bodyworks" class (NO ABS): 1 hour
during abs I stretched and put away my stuff =)
Fun: talked to Shannon Brake during the workout and gave her my chiropractor's card

Walk: 10 minutes x 2 briskly to and from the car place to my work
had intentions of doing a video at home but had serious discussion with DH while doing laundry. Had to eat and rest after, no energy left to even contemplate exercise.
Fun part - I'm sore! yeah!
Sunday: 5pm Gym workout
After a very difficult and emotionally exhausting weekend I got two entire hours of peace and quiet to myself. One hour I was at home while Mike and the kids went to the park with John. The second hour I spent at the gym. NICE and very much needed and appreciated. At the end I was thinking about doing abs but then noticed that my stomach muscles have possibly split. Will talk to OB next week about it at my 20 week apt. Sort of remember that happening with Andrew but not Jack or Owen.
Bike: 30 minutes (only b/c I was 10 min. away from finishing the book!)
Weights: 60 lb abduction/adduction, 2 sets of 20 each with calf raises inbetween
Push-ups: 45 - 3 sets of 15 (my belly is hitting the floor but I can still do them on my knees)
Stretch: 10 min
Friday & Saturday: REST
Thursday, January 22, 2009
you do a pregnancy exercise video! ha ha.
7pm Home workout: Lisa Hart's FITMama Prenatal Workout DVD
- 20 min. Salsa
- 20 min. Yoga Fat Burn (not the relaxing type, the sweaty type)
- 6 min. L&D prep (abs and kegels basically)
- 8 min. stretch
It got a little repititous and boring toward the end - I was ready to finish! Would be really super good for you the last 2 months for sure. I'll try and do it once a week during months 8 & 9 but any more than that, I'm just not sure. A little to boring for me =)

I got to the gym this morning early so I had enough time to come home and help load up the kids in the car and pick up the house before the cleaning ladies came. I was so tired though b/c for the second night in a row we were woken up by 3 things: 1- the cat puking in our room at 3am, 2- jackson having a nightmare one night and peeing the bed the next and 3 - sick owen crying for daddy. Whoah, I am not ready for a newborn with all this current chaos waking up in the middle of the night thing! Good thing we've still got 4 more months!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:30 am gym workout: crosstrain
Bike: 2o min (level 8; random)
Elliptical: 10 min (level 8; random)
Stretch: 10 min.
wanted to do some weights and be on the elliptical for 10 more minutes, but just couldn't do it! Still had 8 hours of work to accomplish =(
Tuesday was a very sad day for me as a mother and I couldn't wait to leave the house. My baby hates me right now, it's so sad. And he's so hard to be around b/c he cries non-stop. I was so happy to go to class!
7pm Gym workout:
'Bodyworks plus Abs' class: 1 hour
Um, hello. When did 5lb weights get so heavy??????????
Both boys had the flu last week - fever for 3 days, sore throat, coughing, running nose. So after my tuesday class, that was it for me for the week. I'm happy I made it out alive. By tuesday I was so frustrated with Owen I cried the entire way to Kaiser. He hates me right now. It's all daddy and go away mommy - he even hits me and calls me names when I try to kiss/hug him. So not nice! After being treated like that all weekend and enduring his non stop crying for days on end, I finally lost it on Tuesday morning and went to Kaiser to see if they could exercise the demon out of my child! The doctor did find that he was wheezing and needed breathing treatments and also has a double ear infection so is on antibiotics. Hopefully when he gets well his attitude will improve.... but I'm not holding my breath! At least one kid loves me - my Jackson is my buddy!
Wednesday - Monday: no workouts
